John Aidan Eastwood passed away on the 5th of March 2006, aged just 18 years old.  He was fit and healthy, a keen sportsman with so much to look forward to in life.  He died suddenly from a condition called cardiomyopathy

Shortly after his death - John and Gwen (his mum and dad) along with his Uncle Phil and his partner Anita came up with the idea of a game of football in his memory.  I am sure that even they could not have imagined how that idea grew into a festival of football - a celebration of John's life and a tribute to his memory.

This website is not only dedicated to little "Eastie" - but to everyone who has given their time, effort, donations and support to our ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the condition and to raise funds to assist with the screening of children and young adults who may have this hidden heart condition.

Our aim with this website is to bring together the past, present and the future. 

To remember young John through the words of the people that knew him and with the pictures we have collected of him, his family and his friends.  To look at what has happened since John passed away and to see what is happening right now (this website for a start!!) and to look to the future........our efforts are ongoing and we are always looking for new ideas to raise funds and awareness.
